World War I Plastic Helmet - Costume Dress Up Uniform
*** THE ORIGINAL SUPPLIER WENT OUT OF BUSINESS. WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW SUPPLIER. PLEASE CHECK BACK. ***
Olive green plastic helmet, WWI soldier style, with black elastic headband riveted inside and a black elastic chin strap.
Not only for children, these helmets fit adults too. Our grown-up customers have used them for everything from WWI decor to a costume commemorating an ancestor to head protection from squirrel-dropped acorns! Others have ordered for a class commemoration of WWI or a bunch of band members.
These helmets are specially made for the National World War I Museum in Kansas City, who kindly allowed our shop to be an outlet too. Though they will break if stood on, these are fairly tough plastic and hold up to a lot of playing. The elastic chin strap and elastic around the head makes it a one-size-fits-most helmet that stays on much better than the toy helmets that are often handed out for free.
Results of our own child-testing program on three helmets: after two years of intense playing, one was so destroyed as to be thrown out; the other two are cracked but still in use. (Pretty good for a plastic toy!)
Though the helmet itself is only about 4 ounces, due to the volume of the box and packing material, shipping is not so cheap. If you are in the Denver area contact us at info@greatwarstories.com to see if there is a way we can get these to you with no shipping cost.
