History on a Shirt
Deluxe Print of Ski Train Denver Winter Park
This print is based on artwork designed for the Colorado Railroad Museum, but redesigned to express artist Ewan Tallentire's vision of the subject beyond the limitations of screenprinting. The classic orange Ski Train engine is eager to run, poking its nose out of the Ski-Train-orange frame. An orange glow in the sky fades in the far corner to the deep blue of winter skies at high altitude. In the background is the Winter Park ski resort, with the poles of a chairlift slightly visible. Off to the right are the long skis of the engine's era, in a wintry coral shade.
See our blog post about the Ski Train to learn about its connection with the Tenth Mountain Division and the Ski Train's recent revival.
