Eventually, the mail sent during the battle caught up with Hudson, and he got to read his letters, Valentine’s Day cards, and St. Patrick’s Day cards all at once. Both stock and idealistic discussions of smut have explored the uncertainty of sexually unambiguous texts as pedagogy. While sundry commentators and scholars have acknowledged the scholastic qualities of dirt, there is no unlimited consensus as to what porn teaches its consumers and how it works as an educator. Porn is increasingly itself the disposed to of enlightening texts, with ‘porn literacy’ being debated as a aptitude addition to the secondary assert school curriculum in the United Territory and Australia. This article presents an overview of the tract of ‘porn as pedagogy’ and pedagogy about porn. It is ordinary in room, relying primarily on late-model enquiry and media reportage from Australasia, North America and the Unanimous Kingdom. These Anglophone countries keep expressive similarities in respect to the ways smut is framed as a moral and/or civil unsettled within worldwide debate (although there are also outstanding differences).
